Juffair is in Manama, Bahrain and is a more recent development after 1970. The majority of this part of Bahrain was the sea. Thanks to land reclamation, it is now home to many hotels and some restaurants, flats and villas. Most of those who live in the area are established foreigners or upwardly mobile young Bahrainis. It is also the site of Bahrain's largest mosque, the huge domed Al Fateh Mosque. It also contains the newly-opened National Library highlighting life in the kingdom.
